Mudra Mithai Ghar

Our shop is right in Ghatkopar West at the VP Bhatia Build. We actually have three shop numbers, 1, 2, and 3, all joined together at H O Khatri Pole. It’s a busy corner. From early morning, the smell of frying snacks and boiling sugar fills the air. We don't have a big corporate kitchen; everything happens right behind the counters. My uncles and cousins are usually the ones back there, stirring the big vats of milk. We make all the traditional sweets that people around here like. It gets really crazy during the festival season. There are lines out the door and we barely have time to breathe. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn down from all the feet walking over them for years. We have those glass display cases that we have to wipe down every hour because of the fingerprints. It’s a local place, and we know most of our regular customers. They come in for their daily snacks or to buy a box of sweets for a wedding. Sometimes the heat from the stoves makes it hard to work, but we just turn the fans up. We aren't a big chain, just this one spot where we do everything ourselves. It’s messy and loud, but the food is good and people keep coming back. That’s what matters to the people here in Ghatkopar. We keep the shutters open late most nights because there is always someone hungry.
