You can find us at Malad East 1. Muddy Snack started out because we just liked making food for the people around here. It’s a small operation and we don’t have a lot of staff, mostly just a few of us doing everything from cooking to cleaning. The name sounds a bit funny but it stuck, so we kept it. Our spot isn't the biggest, but we make it work. Most of our customers are locals who stop by while running errands or on their way home from the station. We don't have a big menu with a hundred items. We just do a few things and try to make sure they taste right every time. Sometimes we run out of stuff early if it's a busy Friday. The kitchen can get pretty cramped when we have three people in there at once. We don't have fancy seating, just some basic stools if you want to wait. It’s a bit dusty outside sometimes because of the construction nearby, but that’s Malad for you. We just keep frying and packing. It’s not a corporate chain, it’s just our little shop where we try to do an honest day’s work. We hope the flavors speak for themselves without us having to say much. It is a lot of work to keep the oil fresh and the counters wiped down throughout the long day.
