Moti Talkies

Moti Talkies has been sitting at 220 Sardar Vallabhai Patel Road in Girgaon for quite some time. If you're heading down Goldewal, you can't really miss the building. It’s an old place, and you can definitely tell by looking at the walls. We show movies, mostly what the local crowd wants to see. It’s not one of those new, shiny theaters with reclining seats and expensive snacks. It's more of a traditional spot where you just come to watch a film and then head home. We deal with the usual issues of an older building, like fixing things when they break and keeping the lobby clean. The neighborhood of Girgaon is busy, and there’s always noise coming from the street. People from all over the area drop in, some who have been coming here for decades. It's just a regular part of life on Sardar Vallabhai Patel Road. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us making sure the projector runs and the tickets are sold. Some days are slow, especially during the middle of the week, but weekends get a bit more life in the place. We keep the doors open and do our work. It’s a simple operation, really. Just a movie house in a busy part of town, trying to keep things going day by day. We've seen a lot of changes in the street outside, but we just stay here doing our thing.
