Morbiwala Sweets Farsan Mart

You can find us in Ghatkopar East 3. We’ve been making and selling sweets and farsan here for a long time. It’s a family-run mart, and we care about the stuff we make. We don't have a big corporate office or a team of designers. It’s just us in the back frying the gathiya and making the jalebis. The smell of hot oil and sugar is something you get used to after a while. We start our work very early, usually before the sun is even up, so that everything is fresh for the morning customers. Our shop isn't very big, so it can get quite cramped when there’s a line. We don't use any fancy machines; most of the work is still done by hand. People from all over the neighborhood come to us for their snacks, especially during the festive season. That’s when it gets really crazy and we hardly have time to sit down. We don't do any big promotions or social media stuff. People know us because their parents and grandparents used to come here. We use the same recipes that have been passed down to us. Sometimes the floors get a bit messy during the rush, but we clean up as soon as we can. We just want to provide good, traditional snacks at a price that makes sense. It’s a simple business, and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can.
