Metropolitan International

Metropolitan International is tucked away in Room No 14 of Saraswati Sadan. We are right at 1 Masjid, which is very close to the Chinch Bunder Post Office. It’s one of those old buildings where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Our room isn't huge, but it's where we manage all our international dealings. The area around Chinch Bunder is always packed with people and carts, so getting to the office can be a bit of a squeeze during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of our time dealing with paperwork and making sure our records are right. Being near the post office is actually quite handy for us since we have to send out documents pretty often. The walls in our office could probably use a new coat of paint, but we've been too busy to get around to it. It feels like a real workplace, with stacks of files and a couple of old desks. We don't have a fancy sign outside, just our name on the door like everyone else in the building. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out. It’s a very local way of working. We handle a lot of different things from this small room. People come in and out, the tea arrives around 4 pm, and we just keep the business moving along. It’s simple, honest work in a very busy and crowded part of the city.
