Mehta Product is located at Shop No 26 on the ground floor of the Swami Narayan Building in Bhuleshwar, Kalbadevi. If you’ve ever been to this part of Kalbadevi, you know how packed and busy it is. Our shop is tiny, barely enough room for three people to stand inside at the same time. We have things stacked from the floor to the ceiling in every corner. It’s a bit of a maze if you don't know where things are kept. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building itself is getting quite old now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to close the shop and do it ourselves. We are open six days a week, from morning until late evening. We get a lot of regulars who just stop by to say hello while they are doing their other shopping. It’s very humid in this part of Mumbai, especially when the rains start. We have to be very careful with the stock so it doesn't get damp or ruined. We don't use any fancy software to keep track of our sales. It’s all written down in the physical books. It’s a simple way of living and working. We just try to keep the business going and help the people who come to our door every day.
