Medicine Traders

Medicine Traders is located on the first floor of the Souri Building. We are right on Babu Genu Road, which is part of the busy Princess Street area. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the wholesalers and people moving boxes. Our space is at 72/80, and you have to walk up the stairs to find us. The building is old, with high ceilings and those heavy doors that have been there for decades. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of cartons. We spend most of our day on the phone or writing out lists of what needs to go out to other shops. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the rooms. Princess Street is the heart of the medicine trade, so there is always a lot of energy and noise coming up from the street. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some old calendars on the wall and a few fans to keep the air moving. It can get quite humid, which makes the paperwork stick together if we aren't careful. We’ve been working out of the Souri Building for years, and we know all the other traders nearby. It’s hard work, moving boxes and keeping track of every single strip of medicine, but it’s what we do every day from morning until late evening.
