Rekha Medico

Our shop is No. 3 in the Kachi Lohana Nivas building, which is number 69 on Shivdas Chapsi Marg. Being near the Seltex office helps people find us, as that’s a pretty well-known spot in this neighborhood. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. We have glass counters where we keep a lot of the stock and shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling. You usually need a small ladder to reach the stuff on the top rows. It’s a busy street outside, with cars and bikes always honking, but inside Rekha Medico we just focus on what we’re doing. We open early in the morning and stay until late in the evening. There’s a regular flow of people coming in and out, mostly folks from the nearby buildings. We’ve gotten to know the delivery drivers pretty well over the years. The floor is old tile that’s seen a lot of foot traffic, and the front door squeaks a bit when you open it. We don’t use any fancy computers, just a basic one for the bills and a lot of handwritten ledgers that we keep in the drawer. It’s a straightforward business, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. Just a local shop on a busy road trying to keep things running. We take our tea breaks when the crowd thins out and then get back to it.
