Maxell Steel & Alloys

Maxell Steel & Alloys operates out of Room No-5 on the first floor of Savita Sadan. The building is at 29/31, right on 1st Parsiwada Lane near V.P. Road in the Opera House area. This part of Mumbai is famous for its history and the narrow streets where everyone knows everyone else. Our office is quite small, and we have to stack our files and samples wherever they fit. Dealing with steel and alloys means we spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to factories and checking on prices that seem to change every hour. It’s a very traditional setup. We have an old fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound, and the wooden desks have seen better days. You won’t find any corporate slogans on the walls here. We just focus on getting the right alloy to the right person at a fair price. The walk up to the first floor is narrow, and the lane outside is always blocked with bikes and delivery vans, but that’s just Opera House for you. We’ve been here a long time, and we’ve seen the neighbors change, but the way we do business hasn't changed much. We drink a lot of chai and talk to customers about their requirements until the sun goes down. It’s just steady, daily work in a crowded corner of the city.
