Manek Steel Centre

Manek Steel Centre is tucked away at 21, Manipar House on the first floor. It’s right there on Parsiwada Lane, which stays crowded since it’s so close to Alankar Cinema. If you’re looking for us, you’ll probably hear the noise of the street before you actually see the sign. We’ve got stacks of steel and metal that take up most of the room. It’s heavy work, moving those pieces around in such a tight space. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of old stone and metal. We don’t have fancy displays or soft lighting here. It’s just rows of steel and us trying to keep track of what goes where. Most days are spent measuring things out or talking to people who come in off the lane. The area around Alankar Cinema is always full of energy, and we’re right in the middle of it. It gets loud with the vehicles and people shouting, but that’s just the way Parsiwada Lane operates. We’ve been at Manipar House for a long time, and the walls have grown stained from years of work. It’s not a place where you’d wear a suit. Your hands are definitely going to get dirty if you stay here too long. We just focus on the inventory and making sure we have what people are looking for when they walk up those stairs. There is no extra room for anything else. It is just a simple steel shop in a busy lane.
