Management Trainee

Right now I am based in building 17, room 111, over in the M.M.M.R.D.A. Colony in Tungwa Village. It is a very busy part of Powai and the whole area is always crowded with people. Being a management trainee means I am basically learning how everything works from the ground up while staying here. The room is small and very simple, not like those big corporate offices you see in the movies. I have my books and my laptop set up on a small wooden table near the corner. Most of my day is spent reading through manuals and trying to make sense of the files I have been given. The walls are a bit thin, so I can hear everything my neighbors are doing, especially when they start cooking their dinner in the evening. It is a bit of a walk to the main road from this building. I usually grab some hot tea from the small stall outside the colony gate before I start my work for the day. The ceiling fan in the room hums loudly, but you get used to the sound after a while. I am just trying to get through this training phase and learn the ropes. It is a lot of sitting and studying alone. Sometimes I go for a short walk around the colony just to clear my head. There are a lot of families living here, so there is always noise. It is just a basic place for me to focus.
