You can find Malehru Exports Llp right in the heart of Mumbai’s old trading district. We are in the Cotton Exchange Building, Shop No. 98 on the second floor. It’s an old building with a lot of history, located right opposite the Cotton Green railway station. If you’ve ever been to Cotton Green, you know how busy and dusty it gets with all the trucks and the local trains. Our office is a bit small, but it’s right where the action is. Being in the 400023 area means we are surrounded by people who have been in the cotton trade for generations. We don't use fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still handled with registers and face-to-face talks. We deal with exports, so there is always a rush to get things to the port. The stairs in the building are steep and the hallways are narrow, but that’s just how Mumbai is. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s more of a place where we check samples and sign off on shipping bills. The noise from the station and the traffic downstairs is constant. We’ve gotten used to it over time. It’s a practical spot for a business like ours because we are close to the docks and the other traders. We just show up every morning, deal with the day’s problems, and try to keep our shipments on schedule.
