Sanjay Foot Wear is right here in Shivaji Nagar, Kurar Village. If you know Malad East, you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop isn't fancy or anything. We mostly keep sandals, slippers, and school shoes because that’s what people around the village need every day. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep things organized on the shelves. It’s a small space, so boxes are usually stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to move three piles just to find a specific size in a brown leather chappal. People stop by on their way home from work or when they’re taking their kids to school. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. It’s mostly just us handling everything from opening the shutter in the morning to cleaning the floor. We don't have a big team or a website. Most people just walk in because they live nearby and their old shoes finally gave up. We have those plastic rainy season shoes too, which everyone needs when the monsoon starts and the lanes here get muddy. It’s just a regular local shop where you can sit down on a plastic stool, try something on, and see if it fits. There’s no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise, but it works. We just keep things simple.
