Makrand Pataskar Architect

Makrand Pataskar Architect is based in The National Storage Building on Senapati Bapat Marg in Mahim. We are in units 123 and 124 on the first floor. It’s very easy to find because we are right next to the Johnson & Johnson office. The building itself is quite large and has that sturdy, practical feel you expect from a place called National Storage. Inside our office, it’s a bit of a maze of desks and drawing tables. We have a lot of stuff tucked away in cupboards because architects always seem to have too many physical models and old samples. The first floor is convenient since we don't have to wait for the lift, which can be slow during peak hours. Senapati Bapat Marg is always roaring with traffic, so there is a constant sound of engines and horns in the background. We’ve done our best to make the space comfortable, but it’s definitely a working office, not a gallery. There are coffee cups on the tables and notes pinned up all over the walls. It’s the kind of place where you can see the work in progress everywhere you look. We like being in Mahim; it’s a central spot that makes it easy to get to other parts of the city. The office doesn't have any flashy signs or corporate branding. It’s just a place where we sit down and get our drawings finished.
