Mahavir Steel Centre

Mahavir Steel Centre is located at Shop No. 6 inside the Old Hira Building. If you know 1st Parsiwada Lane, you know it can get a bit tight with all the people and goods moving back and forth. We have been working out of this spot on Nanubhai Desai Road for years, and the building itself has seen better days, but it is home to us. Steel is heavy and noisy, so our day is mostly filled with the sound of metal clanking and guys moving rods around. It is not a quiet place to work, but we like the energy of the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time just organizing the racks because things get messy fast when you are busy. Sometimes the light in the shop is a bit dim, especially in the back where we keep the older stock, but we know exactly where everything is. The customers who come in are usually locals or people who have been buying from us since my father’s time. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait to see who needs some steel for their project. It is a simple way to make a living, and even though the lane is crowded and the heat can be a bit much in the summer, we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
