People stop by our place at 125 Fort Ellis Bridge when they need a stamp for their paperwork. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time, making sure the rubber is cut right and the handles fit well in the hand. It isn't a fancy setup here, just some machines and a lot of ink pads lying around. Most days start with turning on the lights and checking the orders that came in. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with the ink, but that is just part of the job. We make the standard ones for offices and the round ones for banks too. Everyone needs a stamp for something eventually. If you walk past the bridge, you'll see us there. The work is mostly quiet, just the sound of the machine pressing down. We try to get things done as they come in. Sometimes the older machines act up, but we know how to fix them by now. It’s a small shop, not much room to move around once the materials are spread out. We focus on getting the letters clear so they don't smudge when you use them on a document. Local folks know where to find us. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. Nothing complicated about it, really. Just rubber and wood and a bit of steady hand work to make sure every stamp works like it should. It takes some time to set the type, but we don't mind the wait.
