Maharaja Mandap Decorators

Our place is on Juhu Vitha L Wadi Road at 27/C. Maharaja Mandap Decorators is what we call ourselves. Juhu is a famous spot, but our road is a bit more tucked away. We handle a lot of the heavy stuff for weddings and events. You can usually see the big bamboo poles and bundles of cloth leaning against the walls at 27/C. It is a working space, not a fancy office. We have dust on our shoes and tape on our fingers most days. The road can be tight, so getting the trucks in and out is always a bit of a puzzle. We have been doing this for years, so we have a system. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up and build the mandaps. Sometimes it’s very hot work under the sun, so we appreciate the shade of the office when we get back. We keep our ledgers in the drawer and answer the phone when it rings. It’s a family-style environment here. We share what we have and get the job done. The address 27/C has been our base for as long as I can remember. People come to us because they’ve seen our work around Juhu. We just keep moving from one event to the next, making sure the equipment is in good shape for the next person who needs it. It’s a lot of physical labor but we are used to it by now.
