M M Mithai Wala

You’ll find M M Mithai Wala on Serpentine Road in Malad West. It’s a busy spot. We have people coming in and out all day long. The smell of sugar and ghee is everywhere. We don’t have a big office. We spend most of our time behind the counters or in the back where the big pots are kept. Serpentine Road is a winding street, just like the name says. It can get very crowded during the festivals when everyone is out. We don't have a polished marketing plan. We just make the sweets and sell them. The floors are always being swept because things get sticky. It’s a family-run kind of feeling here. We shout to each other over the noise of the traffic and the big fans. We’ve been in Malad for a long time now. We know most of the people who live nearby. They stop in for a chat even if they aren't buying anything. We don't use fancy packaging unless someone specifically asks for it. It’s mostly just paper boxes and string. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a list of what’s fresh today. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when the weather is hot. We just keep the fans going and stay busy. That’s just life at M M Mithai Wala on Serpentine Road. We’re here from morning until late at night.
