Live Music Universal

Out in Chembur, tucked away in Cheda Nagar, you’ll find us at Deep Apartment. We are in C5 on the 26th A Cross street. It’s a bit of a quieter pocket compared to the main roads, which is nice when you’re dealing with music. Live Music Universal is basically where we keep all the equipment and sit down to figure out the logistics for performances. The apartment is usually filled with the smell of old instrument cases and maybe some coffee. We have cables running across the floor and speakers tucked into the corners. It’s not a high-end recording studio with soundproofing on every wall, but it’s our space and we know where everything is. Sometimes the neighbors might hear a bit of a sound check, but we try to keep it respectful. Living and working in Chembur gives us a bit of breathing room. Most days are spent on the phone booking artists or checking that the sound systems are working right before they go out to a gig. We don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen us at a show. It’s a simple setup, mostly just a few chairs, a computer for the emails, and a lot of passion for getting the sound right. It’s lived-in and a bit messy, but that’s just how a music office should be, really.
