Lineage Events Films is run from our small place over here in Jogeshwari West at Dheeraj R. It’s a busy wing, D Wing to be exact, and Flat 201 is where all the editing happens. I started this because I always liked holding a camera and seeing what people do when they think nobody is watching. Most days, it’s just me and a couple of others sitting around screens for hours. Afternoon heat can be brutal, but the fans keep spinning while we get through the footage. A lot of our work is local, filming whatever is happening in the neighborhood. You won't find a big studio with fancy lights here. Mostly, our tripods and gear bags are just tucked into the corners of the living room. Sometimes the neighbors in the building ask why we’re hauling so many cases up and down the elevator. Since Jogeshwari is so crowded, getting to any shoot on time means leaving much earlier than expected. Traffic around here is usually a nightmare, to be honest. While waiting for files to export, we usually just sit around drinking tea and talking. It isn't a glamorous life, but it works for us. Making videos that show what actually happened is what we enjoy. We’ve lived at this address for a long time, and the guard knows us by now because of the late nights we spend finishing up. It’s just a few people, some cameras, and hard work in this little flat.
