Laxmi Sweets

Laxmi Sweets is a small shop located on Linking Road, specifically on East Avenue 3. We have been here for quite some time, making traditional sweets every single day. The shop isn't very big, and most of the space is taken up by the display cases and the kitchen in the back. We start our work very early, often before the sun is even up, to get the milk boiling and the sugar syrups ready. Linking Road is usually full of shoppers and cars, so it gets very busy outside our door. People stop in for a quick sweet or to buy a box for a celebration at home. We don't use anything fancy, just the old recipes that have been passed down. Sometimes we struggle to keep up during festival seasons when everyone wants the same things at once. It’s just a few of us back there working the dough and frying the sweets. We aren't a big chain or a fancy brand. We’re just a local sweet shop where the floor might be a bit sticky and the air is always sweet. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we like seeing people enjoy what we make. We just keep the trays full and wait for the next customer to walk in. It’s been our family's work for as long as I can remember, and we just keep going.
