If you are looking for us, we are up on the floor above A 1 Darbar Hotel. It’s Shop No 26 B inside the Saraf Kaskar Industrial area in Jogeshwari West. Most people know the hotel downstairs, so that is usually the best landmark to use. The stairs up are right there. It can get quite lively in this part of town, especially around lunchtime when the food smells drift up. Inside the shop, we have the laser machines set up and they take up most of the room. It’s not a huge space but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time checking the settings and making sure the cuts are coming out right. Sometimes it smells a bit like burnt material because of the lasers, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s mostly just the equipment and a couple of desks where we look at the designs. Jogeshwari is a busy spot to be in, but being above the street level helps a bit with the noise. We just show up, turn on the power, and get to work on whatever is on the schedule for the day. If you’re coming over, just look for the hotel and head upstairs. We’re usually there until the evening shift wraps up. It is a bit cramped but we manage to get everything done in the space we have.
