L Kitchen

L Kitchen has been around for a while now here at 249, P D Mello Rd in the Fort area. We are right near the GPO, so it's a busy spot with people coming and going all day. If you’re walking through Fort, you've probably seen us. It’s a small place, nothing too fancy, just the way we like it. We focus on getting things done and making sure people who stop by are taken care of without a lot of fuss. Most days it’s just us doing our thing, keeping the kitchen running. The building is old but has character. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we stay right here on P D Mello Rd. People ask why we stayed, and honestly, it’s just home. We know the regulars by name and they know us. There’s no big corporate office or anything like that behind the scenes. It’s just a local spot. Sometimes the door sticks when it’s humid. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name L Kitchen. If you find yourself near the post office, you’re close. It’s pretty straightforward. We keep the counters clean and the food moving. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do. Not much else to say really, we just keep the lights on and do the work every morning.
