Konnection Express Courier & Cargo

Our place is on the first floor of Shanti Bhawan, right on Dadi Sheth Agiary Lane. It’s an old building, number 198 K, and the stairs are a bit narrow if you’re carrying big boxes. Being in this part of town means there’s always noise coming up from the street, but you get used to it after a while. We spend most of our time sorting through packages and making sure the cargo gets where it needs to go. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting things and taping up boxes until your hands get tired. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, and we’ve been meaning to tell the landlord, but we get busy. People come in and out all day with envelopes and parcels. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and the stamps. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open even if the dust comes in. The lane outside is always crowded with carts and people rushing around, which makes loading the vans a bit of a challenge. We’ve been here long enough that we know the guys at the tea stall downstairs pretty well. It’s not a glamorous business, just moving things from one point to another. We try to stay on top of the schedule, but things happen, trucks get delayed, or the rain starts pouring down. We just keep at it, one package at a time, until the day is over. It's a simple operation and we like the rhythm of it. Dealing with the daily rush is just part of being in this area of the city.
