Kishor Cine Sound

We've been here at 34/A in Shiv Krupa Ganesh Lane for a good while now. It’s right in the middle of the Colaba Market area, which means it’s always loud and crowded outside our door. Most days, Kishor Cine Sound is just busy sorting through cables or checking on the equipment. The shop isn't fancy. It gets quite dusty because of all the people walking by in the market, so someone is usually wiping things down with a rag. If you’ve walked down this lane, you’ve probably seen us just sitting near the entrance when it gets a bit too hot inside. We don’t really have a big sign, just the usual stuff you’d expect from a place like ours. Sometimes the electricity acts up in this part of Colaba, but we manage. Most of the time, the guys are just testing speakers or fixing a wire that someone tripped over. It's a small space, really, filled with boxes and parts. We know the neighbors pretty well since we've shared this lane for years. It’s mostly just the same routine every morning, opening the shutters and seeing who comes in from the market. We don't really do much fancy talk here. If something works, it works. That’s how we keep Kishor Cine Sound going. Shiv Krupa is a quiet building otherwise, but the lane itself is a different story. It’s just how life is here in Colaba.
