We are based in the Fort area, which is full of history and old buildings. It’s not the easiest place to navigate with all the narrow streets and the way the buildings are tucked together. We do a bit of everything when it comes to managing events and consulting for people who don't know where to start. Our office is just a simple room where we meet and talk through plans. It’s often cluttered with folders and old event maps. We’ve been working out of this area for a while and we know the shortcuts and the people who run the local logistics. Managing an event involves a lot of phone calls and making sure the right people show up at the right time. There are always surprises, like a vendor being late or someone forgetting a permit, so we spend a lot of our time fixing those little problems before they get big. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who have been doing this long enough to know what can go wrong. Consulting is mostly just us giving practical advice based on what we’ve seen happen in the past. We don't sugarcoat things; if an idea won't work in a specific venue, we just say it. The Fort area keeps us busy because there’s always something going on nearby. It’s a gritty, real part of the city and we like that about it.
