Our shop is tucked away in Chawl No. 6 on Kherwadi Road. It’s Shop No. 2, right there in Bandra East. It isn't a fancy place at all, just a regular pharmacy setup with wooden counters and lots of glass jars on the shelves. Most mornings, we arrive early to beat the traffic on Kherwadi Road and get things ready for the day. The neighborhood is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise from outside, but inside Karigar Pharma Products it’s mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan. We spend hours looking at lists and checking what needs to be ordered for next week. Being in a chawl means we know our neighbors pretty well. We see the same faces every day walking past the door on their way to work. Sometimes we stand outside for a minute just to get some fresh air when the shop is empty. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we have to use a small wooden ladder to reach the top rows. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of stock coming in at once. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything stays organized in the drawers. Bandra East has its own pace, and we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We keep the ledger on the main desk and try to stay on top of things.
