Our studio is tucked away in the B Wing of Prathmesh Towers, right in the Raghuvanshi Mill Compound. If you’re looking for us, we’re on Senapati Bapat Marg in Lower Parel, just above the Hyundai Motor Plaza. It’s a busy area, especially with Pheonix Mills so close by. At Kanika Mehra Fashion Studio, we don't really do the whole corporate thing. We’re more about the smell of fabric and the sound of scissors. The studio is 205, and it’s where we spend hours sketching, measuring, and sometimes just staring at a piece of cloth trying to figure out what it wants to be. It’s not always pretty. There are threads all over the floor by the end of the day and we often have coffee stains on our notes. But it’s a real place where real things get made. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Mumbai; we just want to make stuff that looks good and fits right. The walk up to the studio can be a bit tiring when the elevators are slow, but the light in the afternoon is worth it. We’ve been in Lower Parel for a while now and we’ve seen the area change a lot. Still, inside these walls, we just keep doing what we do. It’s honest work, and we put a lot of ourselves into every stitch. No big slogans, just us and our sewing machines. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we keep the windows open for the breeze.
