Malvaneese

We are located at Shop No 1 in Rafiq Chawl. It’s in Andheri East, right across from the Indian Overseas Bank. If you know that area, you know how hectic it can get. Malvaneese is a small operation. We don’t have a lot of space, but we make it work. Most of our time is spent navigating the narrow space and keeping things organized. The bank across the street always has people coming and going, so we see a lot of foot traffic. Being at 400069 is a bit of a challenge sometimes because of the parking and the crowds, but it’s a good spot to be in the middle of things. We start our day when it's still dark out, getting everything ready before the heat kicks in. The chawl has its own character, very different from the big glass buildings you see elsewhere in Mumbai. It feels more real to us. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a few times and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s our place. We don’t have any corporate backing or anything like that. It’s just us, the bank across the road, and the people of Andheri. We keep the doors open and just handle whatever the day brings. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and dealing with the humidity, but that’s the job. We're just a small shop in a big city.
