Kalakshetra

You’ll find our shop at number 1 in the Santok Building. We are right on Ashram Road in Dadar East, directly across from the Sadhana Hotel. It's a good spot because people often stop by after eating there. We deal with various items related to art and culture. It’s a small shop, but we’ve filled every corner with something interesting. We’ve been in this part of Dadar for a lot of years now. The building is a bit older, but it has a lot of character. We don't have a big staff, just me and another person who helps out in the afternoons. Most of our day is spent cleaning the items and talking to people who wander in. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just put a few things in the window and hope people like them. Ashram Road is always full of people going to work or the station. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the buses passing by, but we don't mind it much. We have a small stool for people to sit on if they want to chat for a bit. It’s a very informal place. We don't wear uniforms or anything like that. Just regular clothes for a regular day of work. We know most of the people who live in the apartments nearby. It’s a nice little community to be a part of while we do our business. We stay open until late evening most days of the week.
