Malhaar Orchestra

Malhaar Orchestra is based in the Khetwadi area of Girgaon. We are located near Sabu Siddik, which is a place most people around here know well. Khetwadi is famous for its narrow lanes and all the festivals that happen throughout the year. Our space is not a fancy studio or a corporate office. It is just a room where we keep our instruments and where the members of the orchestra meet to talk about our upcoming performances. There are always instrument cases stacked up and some chairs scattered around. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a working space. Girgaon has a very special atmosphere, and we feel like we are a real part of the local community. We have been doing this for many years, and we don't really bother with any marketing or big advertisements. People know us because they hear us playing or they see us moving our gear around the neighborhood. It’s hard work, especially during the wedding season when we are out almost every night. We don't have any polished brochures or a big mission statement. We just like to play and we hope people enjoy what we do. The office at Sabu Siddik is where it all starts. It’s a simple, honest life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Girgaon is our home, and Khetwadi is where our heart is.
