Shanmukhananda Hall

Shanmukhananda Hall has been around for a long time and we are located over by Sion Byalalu Village. It’s an interesting spot because we are off Mysore Road but also quite close to the King Circle Railway Station area, so people coming from different directions can find us. The hall is a large space and we mostly spend our time managing bookings for various functions and local gatherings. It’s a lot of work to keep a building this size maintained, especially with the constant flow of people coming in for events. We have a routine of setting up chairs and then taking them all down again once the party is over. The area around us has changed a bit over the years, getting more crowded with traffic, but the hall stays much the same. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, it’s just us handling the phone calls and showing people around the space when they want to see if it fits their needs. Sometimes we have small meetings and other times the whole place is full of people. We have to keep an eye on the lights and the fans and make sure everything is working before the guests arrive. It’s a simple business of providing a roof for people to gather under. We just keep the doors open and try to make sure the place is clean for every new group that comes in.
