I’m Dhananjay Joshi and I run my business out of Mahim. My office is at 104, right on the National Highway. Being so close to the highway means there’s never a quiet moment. You can hear the trucks and the cars zooming by all day long. It’s a small office, just enough room for me and a couple of visitors. I don’t have a big staff or anything like that. It’s mostly just me handling the daily tasks and making sure everything is in order. The building is older, and the elevator sometimes has a mind of its own, but it gets the job done. I spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. People stop by because it’s a convenient spot on their way into the city. I don’t use any marketing tricks; I just tell people what I can do and we go from there. Mahim is a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always something happening right outside the door. I’ve lived and worked around here for years, so I know the shortcuts and the best places to grab a quick snack when I’m too busy to leave for a real meal. It’s not a polished corporate office with a view, but it’s mine and it’s where I get things done. I like the independence of working for myself in a place that’s right in the middle of all the action. Sometimes the noise is a bit much, but you get used to the rhythm after a while.
