Kailash Sweet & Farsan Mart

We are tucked away in Goregaon East, right in the Apna Sahakar Society over in the Arey area. It is a busy little corner of the city. My family has been running Kailash Sweet & Farsan Mart for quite some time now at Gurudeo Society 17. The shop is not huge, but we pack it with as much as we can. Every morning we start early to get the farsan ready. You can usually smell the frying from down the street. We have different kinds of snacks in the glass cases, and we also keep a variety of sweets. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when people are heading home from work and want to pick something up for tea. The floor is sometimes a bit messy with empty crates, and the counter is old, but it works for us. We don't do any fancy advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff before the sun goes down. It is just a simple place where we work hard and talk to the neighbors. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It is a bit loud with the traffic outside, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We are just a regular local shop trying to do things the right way every day and making sure the shelves are stocked with what people want.
