Jojo Advertising

Our little office is in Room Number 1 at the Baliram Bhagat Chawl in Malad East. We are located right near the Jain Mandir, which is a big landmark around here. We do advertising work, but not the big fancy TV kind. We mostly help local businesses with banners, posters, and small newspaper ads. It’s a small room, so we have to be organized with our designs and samples. I started this because I always liked drawing and putting things together. Now, I use a computer for most of it, but the idea is the same. People come in from the neighborhood with a rough idea of what they want, and we sit down to figure out how to make it look decent on a poster. It’s a very local operation. The chawl can be quite lively, with kids playing outside and neighbors chatting, but we manage to get our work done. We don't have a big staff, just me and a helper who does the deliveries. We spend a lot of time making sure the phone numbers and addresses are correct on the signs we make. It’s honest work and we’ve been in this spot for a few years now. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it goes in Malad. We like being part of the community here and helping the other shops get noticed. We aren't a big agency, just a local shop doing creative work for our neighbors.
