Jazz Chocolates

We are located way up on the 12th floor here in Tardeo, specifically in shop number 1202 of the Girna building. It is not the most convenient spot for a chocolate shop since people have to take the lift all the way up, but we have been here for a bit now. Most days it smells like cocoa everywhere, which is nice until you have been sitting in it for eight hours straight. The kitchen area gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the windows on this side of the building. We spend a lot of time tempering chocolate and making sure the fillings don't melt before they are supposed to. It is just a few of us working here, trying to keep up with the orders that come in from the neighborhood. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. The floors are usually covered in some bit of sugar or foil wrappers by the end of the shift. Tardeo is a busy area and sometimes the noise from the street reaches us even this high up. We just focus on the batches we are making. Sometimes the ingredients arrive late because of the traffic downstairs, which messes up our schedule, but we manage. It is a simple setup with basic tools and a lot of manual work. We mostly just talk about what needs to be packed next or if the fridge is acting up again.
