Jayesh Sawant

I’m Jayesh Sawant and I work out of Room 1 in Parekh Wadi. This is on Mogul Lane, just near the Telephone Colony in Mahim. It’s a pretty old part of town. The room isn't much, just a basic space where I can get things sorted. I’ve been in this area for a long time, so I know the lanes and the people around here quite well. It's a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because I have a lot of stuff stored in the corners, but I know where everything is. Mahim is always crowded, especially near the colony, so there’s always something happening outside the door. I don’t have a big staff or any assistants. It’s just me doing what needs to be done. Most of the time I'm busy with local projects or helping out people who stop by. It’s a straightforward way of working. I don't see the point in having a big, expensive office when this room in Parekh Wadi does the job just fine. I grew up around here and I like the pace of the neighborhood. My setup is simple, nothing fancy at all. I have my desk and my chair and that’s about it. People find me through friends or just by knowing I’m the guy in Room 1. I keep my own hours and try to keep things moving along. It’s a modest way to earn a living but it works for me and the people I help.
