Jamnagri Farsan

Jamnagri Farsan is at Girgaon 2 Cross 205/207 and we have been in this spot for quite a while now. If you know Girgaon you know the streets are narrow and always full of people shopping for groceries or snacks. We start frying things very early in the morning so by the time the sun is up the whole street smells like oil and spices. The shop numbers are 205 and 207 and we use the space to store the big bags of gram flour and the finished packets of farsan. I spend a lot of time standing by the big vats of oil or weighing out portions for the people who come to the counter. It gets very hot near the stoves especially during the summer months in Girgaon. We do not have any fancy packaging with bright colors we just use plain bags and labels. People come here because they know the taste stays the same week after week. I am usually busy cleaning the scales or sweeping up the bits of fried dough that fall on the floor. It is a simple business where we just focus on making the snacks and selling them to the locals who walk by. We do not do any big marketing or anything like that we just keep the shutters open and wait for the regulars to show up after they finish their work for the day.
