Our place is tucked away on the first floor of the Raja In building in Mulund West. Being in Ranchhod Nagar means there are always people moving about, but since we are at Shop No 44 upstairs, it’s a bit different from the shops right on the ground. You have to walk up the stairs, which can feel a bit narrow when someone is coming down with a heavy bag. We mostly deal with food items, so the room often smells like spices or fried snacks depending on what was just delivered. It’s not a showroom. It’s more like a workspace where we sort things out and pack them up. We have a few benches and a big scale that we use all day long. The light coming through the window isn't great, so we keep the overhead bulbs on even during the day. We get a lot of regulars who don’t mind the climb because they’ve been coming to us for a long time. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and making sure the inventory is right. We don't have a website or anything like that. Usually, someone just hears about us from a neighbor and stops by to see what we have. It’s just honest daily work in a busy part of Mulund where everyone is trying to get through their list of chores. We stay focused on the tasks and try to keep everything moving.
