Jai Ambe Farsan Snacks

We are located in Malad West 2 and we focus on farsan and various snacks. The shop is filled with large glass jars and plastic containers holding all sorts of salty and sweet things. You can usually smell the frying from down the street when we are making a fresh batch of something. The floor can get a little bit oily because of the nature of the work but we scrub it down every night before we close up. It is a busy place, especially in the evenings when people are going home and want to pick up something to eat with their tea. We have a counter where everything is displayed so you can see what is available that day. The bags are stacked up high and sometimes it feels like we are running out of space to put everything. I spend most of my time weighing out portions and tying up the plastic bags with little bits of string. It is a repetitive job but there is a rhythm to it that I like. The shop isn't modern or stylish, it is just a place that sells snacks. We have been here for a good while and the locals know us by name. It is just a matter of keeping the jars full and making sure the items are what they usually are. No big secrets or fancy tricks, just a regular farsan shop in the heart of the neighborhood that keeps us quite busy all day long.
