The Royal Attic

The Royal Attic is over at No. 6 in the Rasool Jiva Building, which is 52-A Jacob Circle. We are right near the Planet Godrej building in the Mahalaxmi area. It’s an interesting part of town to be in, with the old buildings mixed in with the new high-rises. Our space is exactly what the name suggests, a bit of a storage area filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. It’s not a polished showroom by any means. There’s a bit of dust on the shelves and you have to weave your way through the furniture and items we have stored here. We spend a lot of time cleaning things up or rearranging the space to make room for new arrivals. It’s just a few of us running the place. We don't have a big corporate structure or a marketing team. Most of our day is spent talking to people who wander in or dealing with deliveries. Mahalaxmi is a busy area, and the noise from the circle is always there in the background. We’ve been in this building for a while now and we like the character of the place. It’s not perfect, the lights can be a bit dim and the stairs are quite steep, but it suits what we do. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We just like finding interesting pieces and having a place to keep them.
