Our place is at 1 Apsara Apartments, right on Kishore Kumar Marg. Juhu is always crowded, and we are right in the middle of it near Juhu Tara Road. We deal with entertainment, which usually means a lot of late nights and early mornings. We have a small crew that works out of this apartment. It’s mostly desks and old posters from events we’ve worked on in the past. We handle the stuff people see on stage, like the lights and the people performing. It can be stressful when a speaker breaks or someone doesn't show up, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We aren't a giant company with a glass building. We’re just local people who know how to put a show together. My neighbor often complains about the boxes in the hallway, but we move them as fast as we can. Living and working in Juhu means you see everything. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure the sound system is coming from the right place. It’s a lot of logistics. We just try to keep things organized so the actual event goes okay. Most days involve a lot of tea and checking lists. We’ve been at 14 C for a while now and don't plan on going anywhere else soon. It gets pretty humid here by the coast, so we spend a lot on fans to keep the equipment cool. It’s a bit of a mess, but we manage to get things done without much fuss.
