S T. Monica's Pharmacy

Living out at Provident Welworth, you probably know where J 3702 is. That is where we set up S T. Monica's Pharmacy. It’s a bit different being in a place like this instead of on a main high street. We handle a lot of the medicine needs for the people living nearby. It’s a lot of counting pills and making sure we have enough of the common stuff in stock so nobody has to wait. The shelves are packed pretty tight because there isn’t a huge amount of room to waste. It’s mostly just us keeping track of what people need. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when several people come in at once, but usually, it’s a steady flow. We talk to the neighbors quite a bit and you get to know who needs what for their family. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t have fancy displays or bright flashing signs outside. Just a clear spot where people can get their prescriptions filled. The air conditioning hums along and we keep things as clean as we can. It feels more like a part of the community here than a big chain store would. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking orders from the suppliers. It’s important work but we don't make a big deal out of it. We just stay open and wait for whoever needs help that day.
