Infinite Events

If you find yourself on R.R.T. Road in Mulund West, you might walk right past us if you aren't looking. We are at number 4 in Trivedi Bhuvan. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always noise and people rushing around outside our door. Inside, it’s usually a bit of a mess with samples, old banners, and notebooks full of scribbled plans. We do events, which basically means we spend our time worrying about things like weather and whether the decorators will show up on time. It is a stressful job sometimes, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we don't panic as much as we used to. We aren't the type of people to use big fancy words for what we do. We just make sure the chairs are there and the lights turn on. Sometimes things go wrong, like a fuse blowing or a delivery getting stuck in traffic, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. That’s just how it goes in Mumbai. We know the local vendors around here and we know which ones actually answer their phones. Our office isn't big, but it’s where all the phone calls happen. We don't have a receptionist or anything; whoever is closest to the phone picks it up. We just keep working until the job is finished. It’s hard work, but we are used to the grind. It is just what we do to get by and keep things moving.
