Industrial Metal Distributors

Our office, Industrial Metal Distributors, is up on the first floor of Taldhwaj Bhuvan. It’s Office No. 6 on 3Rd Panjarapole Lane, right near C.P. Tank Road. It’s a crowded part of town, always lots of carts and trucks moving through the narrow streets. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at inventory lists. Being on the first floor means we hear everything from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. We distribute various metal products. We don’t manufacture them here; we just handle the logistics and the sales part of things. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the deliveries are on schedule. Sometimes the traffic on C.P. Tank Road makes things difficult, but we manage. We aren’t a huge corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us in a small space. We keep our records in thick folders and try to keep the desk clutter down, though it doesn't always work out that way. People stop by to settle accounts or check on their orders. We have a small window that lets in some light, but mostly it's just the hum of the computers. It’s a steady job and we’ve been at this location for quite some time now. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guy knows our order by heart. It's a busy life but it's ours and we just keep the business running as best as we can.
