Indian Youth Conclave

We are based up in Cumballa Hill, in the Shimla House building, room B 502. It’s quite a climb if the lift isn't working, which happens more often than we’d like. Being near the Opera House means there’s always something happening in the area. The office for Indian Youth Conclave is usually a bit of a mess with flyers, notebooks, and laptops scattered around. We have a lot of young people coming in and out to talk about events or just to hang out and plan things. It’s a high-energy place, even if it’s a bit disorganized. We don’t have a boss in a suit or any strict rules about when to take lunch. We just work on what needs to be done. The view from the window of Shimla House is actually pretty decent, looking out over the busy streets of Mumbai. We spend a lot of time on our phones and sending emails back and forth. It’s not a corporate environment at all. Most of us are just trying to figure things out as we go. Sometimes we stay late and order food because nobody wants to go home yet. It’s just how we operate. We don’t use fancy mission statements. We just try to get people together and see what happens. It’s a bit loud and sometimes frustrating, but it’s never boring here at the Conclave. We just keep moving forward.
