India International Textile Machinery

Our office is tucked away in the B Wing of Mittal Tower, over at Nariman Point. It’s number 76 if you are looking for the door. Being in this part of Mumbai means we see a lot of people in suits rushing around, but inside our space, it is mostly about the nuts and bolts of the textile machinery world. We spend a lot of time talking to manufacturers and looking at technical specs for big machines. It is not the kind of job that people talk about at parties much, but someone has to keep the industry moving. The view of the sea from this area is nice when we get a minute to look out, though most of the day is spent at the computer or on the phone. India International Textile Machinery is really just a handful of us making sure these massive pieces of equipment get to where they need to go and that people in the industry stay connected. We have catalogs piled up in corners and blueprints spread out on the main table. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic, especially when a big shipment is coming through or a trade meet is coming up. We’ve been at this Nariman Point location for a while now. The building is solid, and we know the tea guy downstairs pretty well by this point. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and try to make sure everything runs as smooth as possible.
