I. C. Chemist & General Stores

I. C. Chemist & General Stores is a small shop located at Shop No.4 in the Rosario Apartment building. We are right on Holy Cross Road in I. C. Colony, which is a nice part of Borivali West in Mumbai. Since we are both a chemist and a general store, we have a mix of everything from medicines to basic groceries. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to fit so many different items into the space. You might see stacks of bandages next to boxes of tea or soap. People in the colony usually come to us when they need something quickly and don't want to go all the way to the big market. The 400103 area is quite busy, so there’s always someone popping in for a strip of tablets or a bottle of water. We’ve been here long enough that we know many of the customers by their first names. The shop stays quite cool inside even when the Mumbai heat is bad outside. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves, a counter, and a lot of hard work. We stay open throughout the day and try to help out whenever someone has a prescription or just needs some bread. It’s a simple neighborhood shop run by people who live nearby and understand what the locals need.
