Hinglai Coastal Foods

You can find Hinglai Coastal Foods over in Andheri West, tucked away behind the Hingladevi Temple. We are in Shop No G/1 on the ground floor, so nobody has to climb any stairs to get to us. Being behind the temple gives the area a certain feel, especially during festival times when the whole street is full of people and music. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. It's just a place where we deal with coastal food items. The air around here usually smells like a mix of incense from the temple and whatever is being cooked or packed in the shops nearby. Andheri West is a big, busy place, but our little corner feels a bit more like a neighborhood. It gets very busy in the afternoons, and sometimes the narrow lane gets blocked by delivery scooters. We just work through it. The ground floor spot is good because it’s easy to move crates in and out. It’s not a corporate office, it’s a working shop. We spend most of our time making sure the quality is okay and talking to the regulars who have been coming here since we opened. There’s no big marketing plan here, just a lot of hard work and making sure the food is what people expect when they walk in from the street. We stay busy and that is mostly how we like it.
