You can find us on the mezzanine floor, Room 21/A, right in Masjid Bunder West. Being near the Lohar Chawl and the Ahmedabad Mercantile Co-operative Bank means we are in the heart of a very busy commercial area. Hindustan Express Service is all about getting things from one point to another. The mezzanine floor is a bit of a climb, and the ceilings are a little low, but it's where we manage everything. The streets outside are always packed with carts and people moving goods all day long. It’s a loud, energetic place to work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists of what needs to go where. It’s not the kind of office where you’d find a lot of decorations. It’s strictly functional. We have stacks of parcels and papers everywhere. Dealing with logistics in an area like Masjid Bunder requires knowing the shortcuts and how to navigate the crowds. We don’t have a flashy lobby. People just come up the stairs when they have a delivery or a question about a shipment. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of outgoing stuff waiting to be loaded. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen how the market changes season to season. It’s hard work, but it keeps us on our toes and we like the pace of it. We usually close up late once the last parcel is sorted.
